Mambas in the Park: Connecting Africa’s Future Leaders with the Wild
The “Mambas in the Park” program is expanding! With more trips, new wildlife modules, and workshops in Hluvukani, we’re deepening our impact. Each session now ends with a rescued dog workshop, teaching compassion and conservation to Africa’s future leaders.

Update: Expanding Our Reach and Impact
We’re thrilled to share an exciting update from the Mambas in the Park program! As we continue to bring Africa’s wild world to the children and families of the Black Mambas, we’re planning to take our initiative to the next level.
Our program has been making waves, and we’re eager to expand our reach and impact. Soon, we’ll be increasing the number of trips per month and adding more conservation-themed modules, with a specific focus on elephants, rhinos, and pangolins. These additional workshops will be conducted in Hluvukani village, Mpumalanga, where most of the children live, ensuring that our efforts are community-driven and sustainable.
To ensure the continued success of our program, we’ll be conducting annual surveys to evaluate our effectiveness and identify areas for improvement. This will enable us to make data-driven decisions and refine our approach to best support the needs of our participants.
We’re also excited to announce that our future plans include concluding each program by highlighting the value of “wild kindness” through a supplemental workshop on rescued dogs, led by HAART (Helping all Animals in Rural Towns) and hosted at the library at Nourish Eco-Village. This will provide a unique opportunity for the children to learn about the importance of compassion and kindness towards all living beings.
Our vision remains to establish creative and meaningful ways to disrupt dominant conservation paradigms that are failing human and animal communities throughout the African continent. By prioritizing experiential learning, community engagement, and evaluation, we aim to create a more sustainable and harmonious coexistence with nature.

Stay tuned for more updates from the Mambas in the Park program, and join us in our mission to inspire a love of wildlife and conservation in the next generation of African leaders!
