The Scent of Rain and Life

The smell of rain on dry earth hangs in the air. A light breeze provides cooling. The rainy season completely changes the appearance of the savannah: the sparse landscape of yellowish-golden grass and bare trees has become a dense jungle teeming with life. Toto was right: I bless the rains down in Africa!

The Scent of Rain and Life

But the savannah is still green and lush. It still looks like summer here, full of freshness and vitality. The first flowers that sprouted everywhere from the barren ground a few months ago with the start of the rains have already faded, but the blossoms of the wild sage still exude their beguiling fragrance. Some antelopes are making their way through the bushes, stopping every now and then to nibble on the juicy leaves. Their young were born at the beginning of the rainy season and have grown a lot since then. The little boys even have tiny horns by now. On a wonderful morning like this, it is best to do as the antelopes do and roam through nature as well.
